To ensure a smooth and successful learning experience, students are expected to have the following technology and internet capabilities.

MINIMUM DEVICE REQUIREMENTS
1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster
4 GB RAM or the highest recommended for the operating system
1 GB available hard drive space
Windows 10 (64-bit)
Administrator-level account permissions are required
INTERNET REQUIREMENTS
Broadband (Cable/DSL) connection with at least 3 Mbps download speed
Reliable high-speed internet is required to access the VLE, complete coursework, and participate in online activities
BROWSER REQUIREMENTS
Google Chrome version 70 or higher (recommended)
Mozilla Firefox version 65 or higher
Microsoft Edge (Chromium) version 79 or higher
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use email and receive attachments from the ssm.swiss domain
Ability to access, create, and save documents in Microsoft Word or standard .rtf format
Adobe Reader version 9, 11, or DC
AUDIO & VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
Webcam, microphone, and speakers (built-in or USB plug-in)
Required for virtual meetings, recordings, and interactive sessions
DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS
Screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher
DEVICE LIMITATIONS
Mobile phones and tablets are not supported for coursework, exams, or activities within the VLE
SURFACE PRO REQUIREMENTS
Surface Pro, Surface Books, and Surface Laptops are supported if running a supported Windows operating system and meeting the minimum device requirements
